New Zealand Tui

Made of Genuine Paua pieces, this large Tui is a representation of the unique bird life of New Zealand and is a stunning reminder of the sounds of our homeland.  Tui are boisterous, medium-sized birds that are widespread throughout New Zealand, particularly in the North Island. They are usually very vocal, with a complicated mix of tuneful notes interspersed with coughs, grunts and wheezes.They look black from a distance, but in good light Tui have a blue, green and bronze iridescent sheen with distinctive white throat tufts (poi).
